The Watertight Door/Windows is a structure that prevents inundation damage caused by weather disturbances such as typhoons, heavy rainfall or reverse flow of foul water. It also protects human life and property in flood-prone regions. In addition to its function as a gateway (including doorway, emergency exit, lighting and ventilation), the Watertight Door can resist high water pressure and prevent inundation.
It is often used as an interior connecting path, a transit path, and a doorway in a subway or building, and a main facility to protect inundation for the navy, and the underground parking lot and the underground machine room.

It is resistant to corrosion from sea water, durable against wind and water pressure, and also watertight. Its size and shape depend on the water level of the site.

The Watertight Door, when closed, is guaranteed to have no vibration under all operational circumstances and completely leak-free. Moreover, assembly of the parts should be done with care, as mistakes can affect its strength and watertightness.
For the Watertight Door to be installed on the main entrance of a building or on the inner path of a subway line, where constant passage of people requires it to remain open, it is advised to equip it with stainless material patterns for the purpose of interior decorative enhancement aside from its function as a Watertight Door.

Watertightness is ensured on all four sides and a dual packing system consisting of inflatable seal and silicon seal is used.

As a result of performing an air leakage test to fill 130 of rolling oil into the watertight door developed by our proprietary patented technology, it was found that there was no leakage of rolling oil during the test. The Watertight Door is easy to open or close owing to the distinct operation method, and has bees registered as the Q-Code product at the POSCO Gwangyang Steel Mill. Currently, the products where the Q-Code is applied are used as a hatch covers for the dirty tanks of POSCO.
